East Africa is blessed with very successful celebrities in the music industry. With some even having chances to perform in international concerts. This has raised East African music to the world level. I have come up with a list of the topmost richest musicians as per the Forbes Magazine

1. Bobi Wine

Bobi wine is one of the most celebrated East African musicians of all time. He has around 70 songs that he has recorded throughout his music career. Also, he is a former Mp in Kyodondo county East constituency in Wakiso district. He also vied for the Ugandan presidency but lost to Yoweri Museveni. He was ranked at number 1 by Forbes Magazine with an estimated wealth of around $9 million.

2. Diamond Platnumz

His real name is Naceeb Abdul Juma, a Tanzanian musician. He is currently the king of Bongo music and one of the most successful musicians in East and Central Africa. He is the founder and the CEO of WCB Wasafi Record Label, Zoom Extra, Wasafi Tv, and Wasafi Fm. He is celebrated for his record of becoming the first African-based artist to reach a combined total of 900 million YouTube views. He was ranked at the 2nd position with an estimated wealth of around $8.2 million.

3. Jose Chameleon

His real name is Joseph Mayanja, a Ugandan musician. He is the only East African musician to hold a record-breaking concert attended by 40,000 fans. No one has ever come close to his numbers. He started his music career with Grandpa records in Kenya and rose to fame due to his impactful songs. He is ranked at number three with an estimated wealth of about $8 million.

4. Akothee

Her real name is Esther Akoth. She has a deep history, rising from poverty to fame due to her hard work. She is a Kenyan musician. She is the founder of Akothee Safaris, Akothee foundation, Aknotela, and Akothee homes, a real estate company. She is also a mother to five children. She is a great musician and has done many collaborations with great African musicians, for example, Diamond Platnumz. She was ranked at fourth position by Forbes with an estimated wealth of about $7.6 million.

5. Professor Jay

His real name is Joseph Haule. He has been on the game for many years which has led to his enormous wealth. He is also a former member of parliament in the Mikumi constituency in Tanzania. He is also a family man with one child. He was ranked in the fifth position with an estimated wealth of about $7.5 million. Musicians act as a mirror to society as well as role models.
